"His Purpleness" is 18"x24" for the original
I wanted to create a painting that celebrates Prince, his life, his death because he's not truly dead. All around me, the electricity of his spirit lives on. That's why it was imperative that I use gold for the shades of his face. Under lights, he glows almost ethereal because Prince transcends the material world. I also used a lot of blue, msytical shades of purple, symbolizing Prince's royal status as a great musical icon.
